I really want a progress bar in the mail app. Other than the activity viewer that I must click or use a keyboard shortcut to see.

Can't apple just place it in the main menu bar?

Earlier, pre-Tiger versions of Mail had a progress bar of sorts (in so far as it would tell you how much of the email had gone through, percentage wise) but in their wisdom they took it out of the Tiger version. I can't for the life of me think why they did this – hopefully they'll see sense and put it back in a future version.

Thats what I am looking for, I want to know when I send and receive mail how much of it has been received/sent. I know I can shortcut it or just check the activity viewer but why not just add it somewhere?
