Speaking of Kickstarters.... the Tex Murphy series has a kickstarter as well. They will be supporting Mac right out of the gate, with iPad as a stretch goal if they get extra funding. If you haven't seen the Tex games before, they are realtime-3D adventure games set in a Sci-fi dystopia. They have a dialog system that was the precursor to Bioware's conversation wheel, and are about 1/2 dialog-driven investigation and 1/2 adventure-type puzzles. Even better, two of the best games (Under a Killing Moon, and Pandora Directive) run perfectly in DosBox. So you can go grab them from GoG.com and just swap in the OS-X compliant DosBOX to run them. If you're interested, there is a liveblog playthrough at http://www.twitch.tv/sbenrap And the kickstarter itself is an auto-refer from texmurphy.com If you like adventure games, they are WELL worth your time to check out.
