Project in Final Cut X that constantly beachballs?

I've been working on this project in FCP X.

when I opened it up today it constantly beach balls when i do simple tasks.

The other existing projects I have do not have this problem.

Any ideas?

How big is that project and on what HDD is it stored (internal, USB, Firewire, Thunderbolt) and how much RAM do you have?
Open Activity Monitor and go to the System Memory* tab and look for Page Outs and Swap used and report back.
