Following this old thread I was looking for an alternative for microsoft project for powerpc.
If possible free, or downloadable.
Project Libre requires Java 1.6 which is a no go.
Just found openproj 1.4 works on powerpc, here is the link just in case anyone has the same need as me.
If anyone has other "solutions" feel free to share.

Way to old-school it, man!

May be a tough road to get full compatibility given that Microsoft add features that may make much older apps incompatible with the files. Even OpenProj is something like 3 years behind the times.

My fear is that you may end up doing a whole slew of work, then find out that your creation is no going to work on project, or elsewhere. Given that OpenProj seems to be a totally dead project with more than a number of open issues, that you'll waste more time trying to get this to work than looking for alternatives.

Not free and I've not used it, but Celoxis is an online Project Management app that seems to play well with MPP files.
