Hi Everyone! I recently sold my iMac and purchased a MacBook (In Transit). I'll be doing a presentation this upcoming week and wanted to know about hooking an LCD projector up to the MacBook. I saw the projector today, it has a 3 ended cord with a VGA In/Out, USB Out, & what looks to be a DVI In/Out. The projector itself has an input for S-Video, VGA, & what looks to be DVI. (Never seen DVI before, the plug looks like it has a ton more pins then VGA and has a little weird connector to the right (left?) of the pins.) Anyway! I want to hook the MacBook up to this InFocus projector. The MacBook only has Mini-DVI out I believe so does anyone know if the USB would work? I tried the projector on a Windows laptop today and the computer (never used with projector before.. Windows XP Home) recognized the projector as a "USB Human Interface Device" and auto. set it up. No drivers needed. Will my MacBook do the same?
Thanks!
Edit: Actually, it looks like the USB was only for controlling PowerPoints/etc via the Projector's remote. They also had a VGA cord hooked up to the computer so I guess I'll have to get the Mini DVI - VGA from the Apple Store. Thanks!
