Other Promotion or always on for regular models

The rumors saying there will be a bigger batteries for all models.
Also, the rumors suggest the pro models will get 120hz and always on.
This means the regular models will have better battery than the pro which is weird.
Also, apple won't make bigger batterues for the sake of it.
I believe 120 Hz OR always on will come to the regular models.

That may seem the logical assumption, but perhaps it's not as clear as you think.
Always on will hardly use any battery at all apparently. Plus it's going to be variable promotion, so it could be that the dramatic increase in battery size for the 13 Pro Max could still make it last longer than the 12 PM, even with Promotion and always on display.

this year they will advertise the smaller notch and 120hz more for pro models but in realty there wont be effective optimization of battery for 120hz models so overall battery stats will be low for pro models. But by the time people realize this they will sell most of their stock. The upgrade to 120hz battery optimization will come in next year models for pro/non pro and they will advertise that more nxt year , its a trap

IMO only Pro models will be offered with pro-motion/AOD. Whether or not that's a big enough reason (along with the other differences) for people to choose the Pro over the regular 13's will be the question.

I'm not sure how big of a difference it makes, but I assume the 13 pro with variable 60-120Hz refresh rate will use up a bit more battery than the 13 regular at 60Hz. Probably by 1 hour SOT or so.

Never seen the point of AOD. I don't want or need it to be on when I'm not looking at it and if I want to look at it it'll be in my hand.

It can be useful for at-a-glance info like time and simple notifications.
But were there actually rumors about AOD? High refresh rate, yes, but I don't remember rumors about AOD. Besides, Apple wants people to buy Apple Watch, so I don't think they will enable AOD on iPhones.

They won’t add it for non pro models due to apple thinking it needs Ltpo to manage battery life better

Think the plan is maybe for 2022. As apple want pro models to get 120hz first lol so think it’s possible 2022 non pro modes get 120hz and AOD

I doubt it. It would be odd having a discrepancy of the "same" feature. I would say either all models get Pro motion, or just the Pro models.

I don't know if Apple is still getting the screens from Samsung.... if so... on my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, keeping 120Hz on robs at least 2 hours of battery life. (which is why I almost always keep it at 60Hz) then again, Apple always has more ways for squeezing more life of the batteries....

Apple is getting Samsung panels, and the latest version in the S21 is more adept to variable refresh rates.
