Hi all, I generated a movie in iMovie in ProRes format, and I imported it into the Photos app. It plays fine on my iPad, but not on 2 different TVs with Apple TV boxes. I re saved it in non-ProRes, and it was fine. The ProRes version played audio but no video.

I can't find anything on Apple TV compatibility with ProRes files, I suspect it's not supported. Is this true, or is this some other issue? Is there a statement of compatibility from Apple somewhere?

Thanks!

Apple supports only H.264 and H.265.
If you want to play any other formats, you need a different player, like Infuse, Plex or VLC.
ProRes is generally good for editing, but not for final distribution because of high space demand.
