Protected QuickTime files

So, protected QuickTime files… not ones from iTunes, but the type you get from trailer websites and so on. Is there a way to get rid of the restrictions on exporting that they tend to have? I'm just trying to switch formats, not run an international movie exporting ring, so don't give me the eye of doom. Ta 🙂

Using FFmpegX I can extract the audio if I do that alone, but attempting to convert the file as a whole to a different video format gives an unsupported codec error.

Actually I lie - FFmpegX can't even extract the audio (I thought it was going along nicely as I typed my previous post but then it failed...)

Yeah, it seems to not enjoy being messed with. Surely there's some way of bypassing this?
