Hi Guys,

I would like to have a Protection Cover for the APPLE TV Device (The Box) to protect to from damage and falls. It has been an expensive investment for me and I would like to protect it. But I am confused as I read it here somewhere some guys saying that there is a heat dispensing vent at the bottom of the APPLE TV Box which you do not want to block. So I don’t know what to do ?

Nevertheless I still see a lot Protection Box for the Apple TV being sold on AMAZON. So If I want to have a protective cover for the APPLE TV Box which one would you guys suggest ?

TIA !

I love my Apple TV and I think it’s one of the most underrated Apple products. What do you do with it? Do you travel a lot?

if it’s only under a TV and is never moved I’m struggling with the need to cover it. As you mentioned covering those vents is likely to damage the unit.

But any which ways the Vent is anyways going to remain covered if I place it on a surface or keep it on something right ? That Vent is only visible if you hold the device in hand and turn the device upside down. Then in this case the Vent is anyways getting blocked and remains covered.

The Apple TV doesn’t sit flush, those vents are not covered, it’s raised slightly for air flow.

If it’s just under a tv I think you’re over thinking this. Would you wrap up a DVD player? Probably not?

I can't imagine the AppleTV falling in the first place. You set it up and leave it. It gets hot, so to encase it in anything is only likely to overheat it.

You plan on moving the device a lot? If so, keep the box it came in and put it back in said box whenever you are in transit.

Also, did you get a protective device for your TV? It cost far more money and is more likely to get damaged than your Apple TV will.

noooooooooo! the table does not obstruct the vents. I second the people saying use the product box to move it around. Apple designed it to protect the Apple TV. If you are throwing it in a bag and its getting scratched up by cables, consider some high quality gaffers tape. That stuff can go on high end electronics and then come off again without leaving residue. But for god's sake don't cover the vents. Or just stick it in a sock.

why do you need a case? This is like buying a case for you wall mounted tv. Why?
Do you travel with it?
IF you do that and take it with you places just put it in a sock. No need to spend money on something you don't need.
