Just saw this over at Gizmodo, and it's not accurate.
I have applied Invisible Shield, Phantom Skinz and Best Skins Ever. NONE of these products help prevent our conductive skin from bridging the seams.
The skin material is meant to allow our conductive touch to penetrate through to operate the touch screen, so it does the same exact thing to the antenna. It was the first thing I thought of when this whole thing came about, and none of them did a bit of good.
More placebo effects from people saying it works, because as we all know, the issue is not always something you can recreate.
Here is one of my reviews of these products. I am an "expert" an installing them and the only benefit I saw was with the Phantom Skinz matte finish skin because I believe the matte finish adds just a bit more of a buffer than the regular, but eventually it's still very easy to bridge and detune the antenna with these skins on.

What sucks is Zagg and even BSE now state that it does help, but it really doesn't. They possibly don't know any better but it's misinforming people which is the last thing this issue needs.
