Hello, can you comment on the stiffness of the pelican..... I purchased an apple leather case for my plus when it arrives but honestly bent gate has me a little rattled
-----
Also does it feel substantially more bulky.... I was originally going for the thinnest case I could find

Both will protect against bend-gate. For me the Protector is a bit stiffer because its a one piece design.

Please stop talking about bendgate. It's not a thing. Literally any phone will bend with enough pressure.

Honestly, this just looks like another bumper.

Sorry you feel that way. Just trying to see what others are using and how its working out.

Im not bother about bendgate lol...but it did make me think about whether the leather apple case would be sufficient.... I mean normally it no big deal but then those times when your bording the roller coaster and start shoving it in..... well....better safe than sorry.... I already purchased the leather case but am considering the pelican instead

I'm going to grab the big brother of this case today and see how much more stiff it is compared to the PROTECTOR...

Great love to hear your feedback. On the Protector, where the from edge is, looks like there may be enough of a gap to collect dust/dirt/grime especially with a screen protector. Looks like the Voyager may cover more of the edge.

I don't get why people buy such bulky cases that add so much bulk and completely change the shape of the phone. I have never cracked any screen on any of my phones with really slim cases that have a small lips over the screen and I've dropped my phones a number of times.

Appreciate your opinion but speaking for myself I plan on keeping this phone for the next 3-4 years so I definitely want protection. So although others may look at my phone and think its ugly, so be it. It's why we are individuals.

Don't worry about it. My husband got that case and he loves it. He looked all over the place and liked it the best - and he turned down most others for that very reason - too bulky. And honestly it is not bulky IMO - the pic makes it look bulkier then it actually is. In reality it is pretty slim and not any bulkier then my clear Spigen one is. It is just different material (probably better) and a little bit more of a lip WHICH I so so wish my clear one had more of to protect the glass if you laid it on a table. They aren't much for colors but if they had clear, I would buy it is a second. The Voyager by them is bulkier then this.

As for the bendgate issue mentioned - IMO the idea of the IPHONES getting bent is more of a user problem then Apple's problem IMO. People want thinner bigger phones and like the metal, so it is going to get bent if you put it in a back pocket and sit on it. If you want cheap plastic, then go buy a different brand just so it won't bend.

Just a heads up, I went with the same set up as the OP.

This case is excellent.

Like I said earlier, we protect all of our video equipment at work with Pelican cases.

We've shipped equipment countless times in these cases and they case and also the equipment never break.

----------

Sorry just wanted to add, and I think this will be important to some, this case gives me the confidence to use the phone with 1 hand.

Would this Protector case fill this particular need:

VOYAGER by Pelican Progear

It's a two piece case, front & back, that snaps together and comes with 2 Screen Protectors, BONUS!!! It has a very prominent lip so it has more than adequate lay flat protection.

I have to admit that I am not a fan of the VOYAGER. I prefer the simpler PROTECTOR, but if you like the extra stiffness and port covers this is a good case.

Oh... almost forgot. The VOYAGER comes with a snap in Holster. So pocket no more... you can open carry your iPhone 6+ on your hip.

Nice pics and review. I do want port protectors but how are the buttons? Hard to press?

You really have to push the volume and sleep buttons which is another reason why I like the PROTECTOR.

Can you post pics/comment on the insides of the two pelican cases? (like, is the actual phone touching silicone or hard plastic?) I'm trying to figure out which one has more shock absorption when dropped. thanks!

I have the Voyager, and the inside back piece of the case has a soft, faux leather-like material. At least that's how it feels to me.
