Can you post pics/comment on the insides of the two pelican cases? (like, is the actual phone touching silicone or hard plastic?) I'm trying to figure out which one has more shock absorption when dropped. thanks!

I can only refer to Pelican's website. For each case they list the features. Voyager has 4-layer protection.

I've had the Protector since day 1 - LOVE it so far, adds hardly any bulk and feels like it would protect very well

Got the white/black Protector w/tempered glass screen protector. I did notice the case is difficult to get on/off but it protects very nicely. Buttons are quite easy to operate.

Just got a protector today as well for my 6 +. Still waiting to see how it compares to Otterbox.

If I end up liking it, going to find a good glass screen protector.

Gotcha. What screen protector do you have? & do you think it will be compatible with the Voyager case?

Using Verizon tempered glass and yes it will work on the Voyager. All the screen protectors only go to the display edge and not edge to edge of the glass screen because of the curved glass.

I decided on the Voyager due to the port covers and clip on. I feel either Pelican model would do the job, but went with the Voyager. Very easy to install but as stated elsewhere once you snap the two pieces together it is a bear to separate. Actually, I think this is a good thing because it definitely will not pop off if dropped. The fit is awesome and confident the phone is well protected.

I have the protector and still would like to try the Voyager for the port covers. How tactile are the buttons? Also, with the mute button cover opening top-to-bottom, is it difficult/awkward to use the switch?

How do you like the included screen protector?

With the VOYAGER, it takes some force to press the Volume and Sleep/Wake buttons. Access to the Mute Switch is very awkward because the opening is really deep. The Covers for the Headphones & Lightning Port easily opened and not as deep.

I just returned from AT&T (again) to look at the Voyager. Just could not pull the trigger. The more I use the Protector case the more I like it. The port covers just don't sit properly for me. One thing I did like is with my installed glass protector only covering the LCD area, the Voyager top does hide the edges.

I'm just gonna keep what I have and see what else comes out (Lifeproof?)

I'm curious about the Lifeproof since I'd love to have a waterproof case. But if it doesn't come out soon I'm probably going with the Pelican Protector. I saw that one at the AT&T store and it seemed pretty good to me.

The protector is a good case. It will definitely hold you over and still protect your device. That's my plan.

Just picked up a protector for my plus. Tried out both and they're both very good quality. The voyager looks to be a step up from the defender I used on my 5. Liked the look and feel of the protector much more though.

Update on my voyager case. I do like the covers for the ports and seem to be very secure/quality. The mute cover is deep and takes extra effort to reach the switch. The volume and sleep covers do cause some extra push to operate but not really that bad. I like the feel and thinness of the case more than my old otterbox defender cover for my iPhone 4. I put one on my wife's 6 and she also likes hers. Would not hesitate to buy again.

I like the included clip-on as it has a built in stand so you can tilt your phone on a table/desk.

As for the included screen protector, I will not use it due to reviews. I am looking at using the Zagg.

I totally agree. I love the fact that the Voyager gives me Otterbox-like protection, at almost half the bulk. There seems to be a lot of mixed emotions about the Voyager but I couldn't be happier. It does add a bit of weight to the phone, but I'll take it, because it's the most solid, sturdiest case I have ever had.

I too, skipped the included screen protector. I have the Bodyguardz ScreenGuardz Pure tempered glass protector. My first foray into the glass protector world, & I'm hooked!!

My only gripe with the Voyager is the tab/cover for the Lightning port doesn't stay closed immediately after a charging session, but will after some time. It seems like it has to settle back in or something. Weird, but definitely not a deal breaker.
