Hi. I'm a brand new mac user and I'm having problems installing Pro Tools 8.0.

I've always used PC untill now and I've never had this problem before. I've been using Pro Tools for years and I'm supposed to be a licenced Pro Tools Operator 🙂 heh..
This is very bad because I have to finish a job i'm doing in a couple of days so I'm really hoping you guys can help me with this !?!

It's a Imac , Mac OS X version 10.6.2, 2,4 GHz, intel core 2 Duo. 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.

The installation goes well until the end i get "The Installation Failed. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contract the software manufacturer for assistance"

😕

What can it be?
Could this be a compatibility issue ? If so , what can I do ?

Thanx in advance guys

the disc is working fine , the dvd drive is good.
This computer must be compatable with M-powered Pro Tools 8.0 ...!?!?

😕

I'm so lost

I think you need 8.0.3 for Snow Leopard compatibility. Try downloading that installer and see if it makes a difference.
