At work there is an automatic proxy configuration for all the proxy(ies). I am currently working in France so it is quite hard for me to ask my co-workers as I speak little French currently.
I am basically wondering if there is a way to use programs like AdiumX and Transmit through this proxy. Those programs have a spot for proxies however not for an automatic proxy config address....so I am a little stuck as I don't know much about this sort of thing.
Anyone have any advice on how to proceed?

"Excusez-moi, vous savez me dire qui pourait m'aider a configurer un proxy (à la main)? Merci!"
when you found him
"Ey chef, c'est quoi que je dois metre dans mon portable comme proxy. Je n'arive pas a me connecter sur msn ni sur ftp. Et ne me dit pas que t'as bloqué les ports. J'ai l'habitude de devenir tres agressive quand je ne suis pas connecté sur un réseau IM. Laise moi glander ou je te casse la gueule"

Prolly full of typos but it should get u going (not at my mac right now, no spell check ).
Maybe you could try to find a little app that lets u determine the proxy u use for http (not at my mac right now, no verifying)

Good luck

Still no good

Like I said, not much French at the moment but I get the jist of that I think.

It seems to be worse, although I cannot really think of a reason why. Now, even when browsing the web via Firefox (1.0.3) I can hardly navigate anywhere! When I input an address, I get the beach-ball while it is loading the page, and I cannot even click to another tab like usual to do something else. This was all fine yesterday, and I have tried 'verify permissions' and 'optimize system' via Onyx to see if that would fix anything, and nothing.

This is getting quite bad, I cannot even do my work now :p.
Any ideas of other apps that could cause major http slowdowns and/or issues?
