serithg macrumors newbie Original poster Sep 30, 2011 #3 a school firewall, and newipnow works fine to bypass the restrictions except i dont trust logging into facebook for fear that it would be insecure, which is where my home proxy server comes into play....

miles01110 macrumors Core Oct 1, 2011 #4 Then use Facebook's https login. That's about as secure as you're going to get.
