PS3 for XMas Present

I'm looking to get a PS3 for my daughter for Xmas. When would the best time to buy be? I know they just dropped the price and I can see them on sale locally for $220 (reg $250). Will there be any special bundles around Xmas worth waiting for? I would like a BD remote bundle.

Maybe buy a game console that still makes new games. That would be a start. IMO, of course.

I’d wait and get a Black Friday deal on a base PS4. My prediction is a price cut at some point this year, then on sale to $199 this holiday season.

Even if the price doesn’t get quite that low, it would be in the ballpark of what you’d pay for a PS3 now. And like other posters have mentioned, support for the PS3 is almost gone, while the PS4 is the current console and is widely supported.
