Is there any way that I can connect my Macbook Pro to my PS3 via Bluetooth such that I can use my Macbook Pro keyboard to type messages on the PS3?

I've not yet paired any Bluetooth items to the PS3, but it seems pretty straight forward. I went to "manage bluetooth devices" on the PS3 (after turning the bluetooth on on MBP). But nothing happens.

    Am I out of luck?

I just installed 2.20 on the PS3 and am going to toy around with this, since you mentioned it. From my understanding, if you are running Vista, which I am, you can set your notebook up as a media server and stream media to the PS3. I do not know if OSX as the same option, but I am going to give it a try and will post my findings.

Nope, no luck w/ OSX. I set my MBP to discover "any device" and had the PS3 do a scan, but nothing synced.

I think you can only use wired keyboards/proprietary wireless. Those open standard Bluetooth ones usually have latency issues and plus not all keyboard buttons are equivalent from another.

Take a look at MediaLink for OS X - PS3.
