I don't think they'd even end up going as high into the numbers as that. Like the PS8. That'd just be ridiculous but I can't imagine any other name.

I wouldn't be surprised if they integrated Google TV and the Chrome browser into the PS4. That might be coming anyway with the PS3.

What's with the PS3 firmware anyway? They've been pretty silent lately, just updating it with minor tweaks and additional Blu-ray features like 3D. I'm surprised they haven't overhauled the XMB yet. The last UI update was pretty horrid (with all the random shortcuts everywhere). The current XMB just seems outdated.

It's also pretty laughable there is still no cross game chat after four years too.

I bet all the games companies will merge in to one company, and make a console called the PlayXStationWiiDSox.

If Apple made a video game platform, it would suck.

The iBox would hardly have any games because Uncle Steve would reject 75% of them!

Then, if a game had a bug, he would tell you that "you are playing it wrong".

No thanks!

Yes because iOS has little to no good games. :rolleyes: I don't think Apple will build a game console, but then again Bluetooth is in the new Apple TV for some reason.

I just don't know if the market is big enough for another AAA worldwide console.

Wii=family
360=kids and teens
PS3=adult/techs

I just don't see anyone taking a big enough piece of the pie to be viable.

Sony's newest TVs already run Android now via Google TV, so the idea of their next console running it isn't a stretch.

Well I don't know if the next PlayStation (PS4) will run Android, but I wouldn't dismiss the idea out of hand.
I really enjoy my PS3, don't regret buying it for a moment, but, it's one real weakness for me is the web browser.
Sony seems to be at a total loss as far as making a decent web browser for PS3. Perhaps an Android based system would include some sort of version of Chrome.
I'm not saying web-browsing on the PS3 is a big issue for me, but it would really be nice to see some real improvement in that area.
