I saw this on my phone in the morning and on my iPads. If I view the details of the app, the Update button displays.

Noticed that bug earlier, 2 apps updated with no open button but every update since then the button is there and working. The ones that it's missing on though are permanently missing, even rebooting doesn't fix it.

hey talk to millions of customers a minute and if this was an issue, they would know about it before any customers noticed it.
Literally none of this is true, but thanks for the chuckles. They don't have anywhere near the capacity to talk to "millions of customers a minute" and VERY RARELY do they know of issues before customers notice it.

You had one job.....

This also speaks to the point of rolling out a new OS every year that assures 4-5 major revisions in the betweentimes. All of which are huge write lumps that bit by bit kill sectors of the devices HDD.

Yes, I know it’s not true with respect to the specific steps. But this is the typical “script” Apple Support follows for new issues - deny because “this is the first I’ve heard and Apple would know,” suggest some ridiculous troubleshooting that is either overkill or pointless, and then tell you to keep your software up to date.

This is happening to me too, on and off all day... Interestingly, the ones that were missing the "UPDATE" button are still missing the "OPEN" button when I scroll down to look at them in the Recently Updated list. Since it was intermittent and a bunch of updates came out today, I've got quite a mish mash of button/no button/button/no button today! 😄

If you've logged into the App Store this morning and have noticed that there's no update button next to apps that you want to update, you're not alone.

There appears to be an App Store bug that is preventing the "Update" button that's normally displayed alongside apps from being visible, preventing apps from being updated one by one.

The update button bug seems to come and go, and not all users may be seeing it. Those that are will not see the individual update buttons when viewing app updates under their profiles in the App Store.

If you want to update your apps, the "Update All" button remains available and functional, and you can also tap over to any app's App Store description page to install an update.

I saw no button and no mention of update size this morning...glad this is a bug as I don't want to have to update x-number of updates at a time when I may only want 1...and be able to do the others later. Thanks for pointing this out MR.

mine on my 12 pro was missing this but if I click the app title I can then update it. Today I can see new app updates have the update button, but older apps I didn't update are still missing the button.
