Bought a pair of 32Gb Samsung RAM, made an appointment and brought it to the store to be swapped. They said they weren’t allowed to swap in 3rd party RAM, only OEM ones.

Was recommended to go to an authorised dealer instead. They shouldn’t have the same restrictions.

I’d do it myself but my torx screw didn’t fit. Looks like the head got bent out of shape.

Buy the iFixit 64 bit driver kit. It has pretty much every bit you’ll need to service your electronics now and in the future.

Then use the guide on iFixit.com to swap the RAM yourself. I did it last night in about 20 minutes. The instructions are awesome, take your time and you’ll be fine.

It's a torx security screw with a hole in it.

Anyway, this isn't a surprise, of course they wont. :D
