Why a brick and mortar store would alienate customers in this day and age is amazing. Unreal
You obviously chose to finance the TV and Apple products with 0% promotional financing via the Best Buy credit card. When you choose this option, you are not given any rewards points. If you would have chose standard financing, you would have received 5% back on all purchases, including Apple products. Sounds like you just don't understand how the rewards program and credit card work. This rewards program is a joke. 250 points for a $5 coupon. I bought a $2500 TV with BB credit card and was told rewards points not available due to using the card even though at the store I was assured it would count. Then i bought a Mac Book Air and an iPad Mini and am told Apple products don't count unless you use the BB credit card...wait what? That is about $4K worth of missing points...still only $80 in store credit but still. Programs like this are called loyalty programs for a reason. They are designed to build loyalty to your brand. For a mere $80 in store credit (with my $4K worth of purchases), they would have achieved that goal. Now they come across as cheap, uncaring about me as a customer and more of a "Did you read the small print" type of company. You can get the same Apple products at Target, Walmart and of course Amazon. So much for driving the extra few miles for points.
I think if you use the Best Buy Visa Card with the normal purchases (not 0% and deferred financing) you still get the 6% cash back on Apple Products. It looks like Apple products now qualify again?
