Just wanted to let everyone know if they don’t already that Costco in the us is having m2 mba’s on sale. Only the 8gb ram variants it seems but it’s $999 for 256gb and $1299 for 512gb’s. $150 off each.

With so many people complaining that the MBA shouldn't cost $1200 to start how can they complain now?

New design, better screen, faster chip and MagSafe now cost the same as the old huge bezel outdated M1 version when it was released. So you get all the improved but no cost difference at a time when inflation is driving up the cost of everything. Seems like a pretty good deal.

Now what can people complain about? Oh yeah the ram is 8gb like the base model of literally every other Ultrabook like the Dell XPS,

8gb ram on base model ultrabook is industry wide.

My 2021 8gb xps seems to crash PS 2023 intermittently.
I hope m2 Air is improvement.

Adobe recommends 16GB.
Photoshop uses more RAM on Apple Silicon than on Intel. Reason is it uses some of the shared unified memory for its graphical acceleration, which on an Intel machine is done by the GPU with its separate VRAM. I am frequently in yellow memory pressure and using swap memory on my 16GB M1 Pro machine running PS, whereas I never had this issue on an Intel machine.
If you disable the graphical acceleration in PS it is OK, but then zooming and panning becomes jerky.
Anyway, this is my experience on a 16GB M1 Pro machine using PS. I have not tried an 8GB M1 (or M2) machine with PS.
