    Hey all,

Staples is running a sale for the iPad Air 2 models (and the iPad Air models) this week.

If you get Target to price match this sale, and use the 10% off cartwheel app + the 5% Target credit card, you can get a 16gb wifi model for under $350 before tax.

I know many are thinking that BF deals will be good, but most of those deals last years involved discounts via gift cards. I'd recommend you seriously consider this week's deal if you are in the market for an iPad Air 2 (or even an iPad Air).

I bought one on Friday with the price match to Best Buy, cartwheel, and RedCard. A pretty decent deal but I'm definitely going back this morning to get a price adjustment.

FYI target isn't supposed to stack price match and cartwheel. I'm fighting about it right now.

I guess it depends what cashier you get. For $8.50 an hour, you'd think they wouldn't care. If the person working the price match / customer service area is some idiotic asst. manager who hates her life and her job, then I'm not surprised they are giving you a hard time.

If they "weren't supposed to stack them", then the computers wouldn't allow you to do so. I recommend you buy something else with a cartwheel deal at the same time. Then, when you scan the cartwheel barcode, both discounts will be applied.

Great idea to buy another cartwheel item!

Yes it definitely depends on who you get. When I bought the iPad last week, I was escorted to the guest services desk because it was a high priced item that needed a price adjustment. I chit-chatted through the transaction and she didn't blink at the cartwheel.

When I went to price match a little while ago, the guest services person knew I shouldn't have stacked them and the supervisor she called up to help agreed. They ended up giving me a $20 bill which is little more than the difference between BB price match + cartwheel vs Staples price match. I supposed if I wanted to go through the trouble to wipe the iPad clean and return it, just to turn around and repurchase with the hopes of getting someone less knowledge...but that seems like more of a hassle than it's worth.

I hope everyone else who's looking for an iPad can take advantage of this deal!

From the Target price match exclusion list.

"Cartwheel offers and Target coupons cannot be combined with price match. Manufacturer coupons will be applied after a price match is made per Target’s coupon policy. Please review our Store Coupon Policy for additional details."

Does anybody know if I could use the 10% off coupon to buy two iPad mini 2's after price matching Walmart's $199?

I doubt you can buy two at the same time. You'd have to buy one, try to use the 10% cartwheel deal. Then sign up for a another cartwheel account, and repeat as necessary.

I think at that point, it may be worth it to wait until Black Friday. A lot of people believe the iPad mini 2 will fall below the $199 price as we get closer to Black Friday.

i went to staples . they had the ipad air 2 cellular 64 gb for 583. the catch is that its space grey only. i took it back and went to target and i used red card plus cartwheel and i got the ipad air 2 cellular 64 gb in the silver color i wanted for 590

they wouldnt match staples because it had to be same color

i went to staples.com to see if i could switch it, and the silver one was full price, so it looked like they couldnt do it, so i went to target instead

    final prices
    ------------
    staples 634.01
    target 613.00

That's what I was thinking. I might wait until I can order them online, as it would be tough getting one on Black Friday.

Anything less than $199 seems too good to pass up, especially considering the original iPad mini was $249 a couple of months ago!

Yes they should. SAMs Club is listed as a competitor they will price match on Targets website.

That's great. I thought they didn't because SAMs Club is a membership retailer.

I can confirm. I just did this trick at Target for a 64 GB. Got it for $431. I bought a men's scarf and a couple other cartwheel items with it, and I plan on returning it tomorrow.

I tried to stack the 10% cartwheel discount with an additional 10% off from the Target Wish List app. I did all the instructions correctly, put my cat as "my kid", put a 64 GB iPad on her "wish list", and tried using the 10% off coupon on the app to no avail. If I was able to do this I would have gotten the iPad for $387! I didn't bother with the Target cc since I don't have one and didn't feel the credit hit was worth it, but if you use one that's an additional 5% regardless of the deal you get.

If they don't play ball at the Target customer service, say no thanks and come back later.
