Its standard for that type of style/finish. Apples declaration is just arse covering so they don't have a load of people with scratched phones coming to the genius bar whinging about their scratched iPhone and trying to get it replaced under warranty.
It's not put me off getting one! I've wanted a shiny/glossy iPhone for years now!
