I can't believe this actually needs to be pointed out, but it definitely needs to be pointed out. The inevitable Apple hype hysteria has owners of a 6s criticizing the SE because they are "not sure if they should upgrade to it".
Let me solve that conundrum for you right now: You shouldn't. This is not an upgrade for your tier.

The iPhone 5s previously occupied the 4", lower cost tier for iPhone. A huge market unto itself, this tier. The iPhone SE is a generous (almost surprisingly so) upgrade to the 5s that occupied that tier until today.

5s --> SE

Please, for the love of Apple, get a grip on yourselves, and stop comparing the SE to the 6s as if it is "supposed to" match or succeed it in some way.

The thread about the lack of the barometer just put me over the edge.

Of course, I don't few people thinks its a 6s in a 5s clothing. It definitely has some nice items and its performance will generally be inline with the 6s, but it doesn't have all the things the 6s, i.e., better front facing camera, dual domain pixels, force touch, etc etc.

I know. And the usual Apple detractors are beside themselves frothing at the mouth.

^^^This!!! And Amen to it!

You'd think the fact that the SE was using the design of the 5/5s that people would get it. But apparently that has to be pointed out because for some bizarre reason people seem to thing the SE is supposed to be a 4.7" iPhone 6s.

Totally agree with you OP!

Well considering Apple themselves compared it to be just as powerful as the iPhone 6s in their presentation I think it's ok to compare it ourselves.

I know a few people like myself switching from the iPhone 6s to the se because of he size.

Not everyone wants a bigger phone, and some of us have settled for that to have top specs.
It has some compromises but overall it's about as good as the ithe hone 6s just smaller.

So that's where the should I upgrade to the se from the 6s comes from.

I look at it more as should i sidegrade myself.

I consider it an upgrade to my 6. The SE will probably have better battery life, be faster, and has a slightly better camera.

I don't buy it.
The people that value size over everything else are still using 5-series phones.
People that are "comparing" because they are considering a "sidegrade" are just caught up in the usual Apple-released-something-new hysteria, and just can't help themselves.

They compared it not to say that it's better or identical to the 6S, rather they did it to show how powerful the device was, even though it was a low-end 4" model.
