I have set up two HomePod Minis so far and I noticed that the pulsing light while music is playing is a little inconsistent. It seems to be more stable on my white one than on the black one. Just a little odd, and I do wish I could turn it off for when I set up the third one next to my bed.

Well I just figured it out. It has to do with the ambient light in the room and it was pulsating oddly only when I would cast a shadow on it. Makes sense especially if it’s used at night.

Try updating to 14.2 on the mini. Once I did, I’m pretty sure that stopped the white light (and green when on a call) from pulsing all together. They are just solid now, when on.
