Since Apple screwed the release of the Pencil. I'll be picking up a FiftyThree Pencil to use and return it once the Apple Pencil finally arrives. Just hope it eventually arrives during the Holiday return period.
Am I correct that accessories are covered as well? If so I think we need to have everyone do the same.

Let Apple deal with the mess they created.

Well sure, the reason I just spent $1100 on the Pro is in leaving for training for the next 1-2 months and I do not want to use the issues Microsft Surface. The pencil was the main reason for my purchase. I'm not going to spend the next month or so while I wait for the pencil that should have been stocked along with the iPads to arrive. Now if everyone goes out and purchases the 53 it's great for 53's company and Apple can deal with the mass returns they get when they finally get some pencils out.
I comes down to the fact that Apple should have had plenty at launch and I really DO NOT want to have to use a Surface.

Try a pre-order on Staples - their delivery dates seem better - http://www.staples.com/Apple-Pencil-for-iPad-Pro/product_1944861

That's not how it works. Apple sends all of those returned accessories back to the vendor, and they'll be the one penalised and forced to sort out the mess and/or refund the sales money to Apple. Your little scheme isn't sticking it to Apple, it's sticking it to 53, who had nothing to do with it.

This is dishonest abuse of a return policy for the intention of using the item as a temporary loaner. Remove the account and thread.

I agree this is selfish and dishonest but removing the account is a bit much I think. I've read many many threads where people fully explain how in a year they'll just swap out their iPhone on AppleCare + just to get a new phone. I think that scenario is equally dishonest and people discuss it freely.

Agreed. The only thing that does, is mess up another company that didn't create this problem.

It shouldn't mess them up as Apple should have to cover the returns.

Please remove my account! If Apple is going to honor a return police that's their problem. They should have been better prepared for the launch of a product that was to support the pencil. Simple as that. If you don't like the idea of returning an item don't do it. I've spent $1100 for a product with the idea that the pencil would be available and not its not usable as it was intended. Purchased the 53 and the store said yes it wasn't an issue to bring back If my order of the pencil actually arrives anytime this year.

How are you liking the Pencil by 53?

Doesn't make much sense since Pencil by 53 is nothing like Apple Pencil. It doesn't provide the experience the Apple Pencil will, so why?

Yes of course I'm not expecting it to match the quality of the Apple Pencil. The reason I purchased it is the iPad was purchased because I'm leaving next week for 1-2 months for training for a new job. They provide all new hires a surface which I'm not planning on using and I need a device for note taking and highlighting PDF's. My finger just won't cut it. I have two of the more than dozen PDF's to start looking over and two of them are over 800 pages so I'm really hoping the Apple a pencil starts showing up in stores so I can keep up with my studying.

You think apple would care about what you think? just asking.

Read a previous post, Apple Store didn't have any issue with what I'm doing. So maybe I have so the employee either doesn't care either or they realize Apple screwed the pooch on this product release as well. They are sure letting things go as far as releases in the past year or so.

Again, it's not Apple covering the returns. Apple sends returned merchandise back to the vendor and gets a refund from them. It's not going to hurt Apple, not even in the slightest. They're a storefront, nothing more.

lol!
What do you think businesses are doing?

that's ixia toy what Apple is doing by selling the pro first without the proper accessories available at launch and secon the do it with every product they sell. They go cheap on the storage. I may be selfish but Apple also has thousands of dollars of my hard earned money. I just expect that when they release a product they do a full release and hot half a$$!
