Carrier Purchase Verizon iPhone for AT&T use???

Hi all, I just reserved a Verizon 7+ at a local store. I currently have a AT&T iPhone 6. I'm purchasing the phone unlocked, but do not have a Verizon account. Can I still purchase and activate the phone at the store or will Apple require me to have a Verizon account?

I think you'll have to have a Verizon account but it depends on your salesperson. They might be cool with just selling it you. Good luck!
 
I think it depends on the sales guy.
I nicely asked, ditched my ATT reservation and got a Verizon instead.

Works but I seriously think that my reception signal is weaker.
I don't know if it's because of the new iPhone design or if I am using a ATT sim on Verizon phone...

If you pay full price you can buy any phone they have - in store only.
 
I pay outright, BUT this isn't the point...
I picked mine up technically with no reservation and no long waiting line time 😉
 
Good information everyone! Loving my 7, but waiting patiently for a Plus! I check the reservation page daily in hopes of securing one.
