I just received an iPhone 13 Pro Max purchased from Apple. It is replacing a 12 Pro. I don’t understand how to set it up. Can someone help? Thanks.

Backup your iPhone 12 Pro and restore your backup on the IPhone 13 pro max

Did you buy an unlocked phone from Apple? If you did, you might need a new SIM card from Verizon.

You need to give out more info? Like was it purchased full price by choosing “Connect on your own Later? OR did you do purchase under the Carrier Verizon? If latter, it would have asked you to enter your Verizon account info and pin before checking out. If you did this route, you can simply just turn on the phone and go through normal set up and it will activate the esim.

If you purchased a sim-free model, if you have a sim card, you can just take it out from your previoius iphone that is active and move that sim card over and you should be fine. If it’s esim, you can just visit verizon website and under My Device you have the option to activate/move from one phone to another. I find it that when entering the IMEI, you should enter the IMEI2.
