purchased app tied to apple password ?

    bought this app previously using my old password. but has since changed to new password.
    when i tried to update the app using new password it doesn't allow me to update. only until i use the old password then i'm able to update the app

    The scenario you're describing sounds more like you changed your apple ID email address, with an additional password change to go with each ID. If so, then that is expected behavior: apps downloaded under different apple ID's will need their corresponding (and possibly different) passwords entered in order to update. Does that explain what is going on?
