just got access to ipod update server...

it goes through the bug list, and tells you can rent movies... downloading now...

version 1.1.3 is now available for download. Fingers x'ed that it solves the problem!

I had the same problem after I installed the 1.1.3 firmware and purchased the software. Like everyone else I saw the download in iTunes and then had nothing happen. I verified my purchase in recent purchases under my iTunes account info. I did a reset on my iPod and checked for updates again. I still wasn't seeing the new apps.

I finally hit the sync button in iTunes and it seemed to do a normal sync and that's when I saw a new dialog prompt on the iPod indicating the new apps and features.

Hope this helps!

If you downloaded the Apps with the 1.1.2 update, then it won't work. Click "Check For Updates.." and download the newest updates and install them.

Your iPod now should be 1.1.3, now onto updating iTunes. Open "Software Update" update it, simple, it iTunes will be 7.6 with other updates installed.

Now click sync on your iPod touch panel, and it will say "1.1.3 (with Software Upgrade)".

Don't freak out geez.

I had the same problem.

For me, the solution was to
1) make sure 1.13 was installed on the ipod.
2) uncheck "Manually manage music and videos" - apply
3) Force a sync *twice* using the button on the summary page.

hope this helps!

YES IT DID!!!! I think it was also because I use this ipod on two computers, this macbook and my PC.. the itunes library that it was registered with was the PC.. I unchecked and made sure the library was now synced with the macbook... THANK YOU!

good here too

i got an error and had to delete all of itunes, but reinstalled and sync'd and now have all the promised apps...

just glad to know i wasn't the only one.

Mine is not working either...but...I have a pending download in my iTunes account that wont download. I click on Download Now but nothing happens. Is there anybody that still CAN'T get it to work show a pending download??

I can't get it to install either but I need to find a better way. I manually manage music and don't want to change that setting.

Also, the software download lands in Library/iTunes/Mobile Applications.

Unchecking "manual manage works..."

I also manually manage but I uncecked it, the software update installed and then I rechecked manually manage. Works great...Cheers...c.

That did it for me also. I even got the message "this iPod is sync'ed with another iTunes Library", blew past that and finally got the "Synching applications..." notice.

I got the same error messsage after updating itunes and ipod firmware and buying the apps. I unplugged my touch and plugged it back in and they were there. Give that a try.

my pod was synced with two computers, reasore it to one comp, and it will work

BTW thay cost like 22 bucks for me... apple is going to get a hate call soon

Manual Uncheck

But if you uncheck "manage manually" and then sync, it deletes the entire music library. Right?

It does delete all music from the ipod but being only 8 or 16gb it didn't take me long to re import everything I had on it before...I talked to Apple tech about an hour ago and they told me that it is an oversight on their part that you have to be "syncing" your ipod for the download to...download...they are going to repost on the website so that everyone knows the score...hopefully they will sort it out in the future and you won't have to uncheck "manual manage..."

Hi,
I upgraded to 1.1.3 and I am not sure how to download the new apps. Can someone direct me?
and I do not even see the uprade in the itines store.

yep, i use my ipod on my work computer, but it is linked to my home computers itunes library.

DL'ed the updates at work, but can't sync and the work computer library has only one album, and that i don't particularly like...

will just wait until i get home, hope the update is linked to my itunes account, so i don't have to click "buy update" again....

Can anyone confirm that for me?

[edit]i decided to sync my ipod to my work computer (heck i can always reload my library, but have lost all the album artwork that was on my ipod only :/ ), and the apps have installed[/edit]
