Hi all,

I bought two ringtones yesterday from my iPhone on the iTunes Store. The first for phone calls and the second for text message alerts. These aphave been set up under sounds in settings and my phone is good to go. My iPad however has yet to see these newly purchased tones and would love to get the. Onto my iPad so, whenever I get a text message the same consistent sound would be heard. Same with incoming FaceTime calls.

Can't for the life of me find them within the iPad, nor within the iTunes Store on the iPad. These tones don't appear within recently purchased and when i visit the iTunes Store to see these ringtones, iTunes allows me to preview them as if I have never purchased them before... yet they exist perfectly well on my iPhone.

Help?

Only song purchases are saved into your account.
For ringtones, you'll need to pay EVERYTIME you download one, so, don't restore your iPhone.
I hope that Apple change that!

You need a way to download them onto iTunes and sync across your other devices. As previous member says, ringtone purchase does not save record to your account.

I think this is absurd to buy a ringtone with full price of a SONG, which I can do whatever I like to create my own ringtone. Only burden? Copyright issue.

How can I save this ringtone file from my iPhone SE to my 6th Gen iPad?

My
MacBook Pro is running Snow Leopard and that OSX does not recognize these iOS devices.

I believe if you download the ringtones from the iTunes Apple store to your Mac, you can then sync them to your iPhone and iPad. You should not have to download them again and pay again. I have all my ringtones in a separate folder under "Music" on my Mac and synced them both to my iPhone and my wife's. And when we both have changed phones, I just synced them to the new phones.

You need to have an up-to-date version of iTunes to sync to your devices.
First, you need to upgrade your macOS system to support that newer version of iTunes.
Only you can decide if getting the tones to sync is important enough for you to finally upgrade your Mac :D
