EDIT: solved! iTunes hid many purchases that I never hid.

I have noticed that at least four purchased movies are missing from my purchases in iTunes. One of them (Paranormal Activity: the Chronology) is no longer for sale in iTunes. In the past, I had another movie disappear and it came back nearly a year later.

I also have one complete series where season one is gone from my iCloud purchases and when I view the season in the iTunes Store, it says purchased but has no way for me to download it. I contacted iTunes support about that season and they placed the entire season in my download que although that was not what I wanted since I already have it downloaded, I just want to download it from the cloud onto my iPad.

Anyways, just warning people to make sure you have all purchases downloaded since they can disappear from the cloud at any time. There is no guarantee.

On a related note, I was logged into my iTunes account the other day and clicked the "Manage" button under "iTunes in the Cloud/Hidden Purchases" and found ten movies that were hidden for some reason (I am pretty sure I do not know how to hide a movie, even if I wanted to).

I had thought that these movies were removed for contractual reasons, but there they were. I unhid them and my movie collection is complete again.

Yes!!! That solved my problem, I never hid them but I had at least ten movies hidden and several TV show seasons and even some music. Thank you!

Glad I could help. I was surprised and pleased to find my movies still available (and so a little more willing to buy more :)

I too am not worried about buying more now. I was afraid to buy two of the movie bundles today before the sale ends but now I will buy them.

    I'm a huge fan of iTunes. :)
