Purchased used iPhone from Amazon. Turned out to be a Japanese iPhone MKUF2J//A....

It seems to work fine on my carrier AT&T. It also included AppleCare+ which I wasn't expecting. I got it for a good price considering the condition and the AppleCare+ which is for the next 21 months.

I can either return it or keep it. Should I be concerned about anything?

This isn't from a individual but from a large company that sells on Amazon so no way to get in contact with the direct original owner.

According to: http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/#iphone-6s-iphone-6s-plus

It looks like it's an A1687 model number.

According to: http://www.phonearena.com/news/Chea...on-T-Mobile-and-Sprint-use-in-the-USA_id77933

It supports all of the AT&T LTE bands. I think you will be fine if you keep it. iPhones as of the 6 I believe have supported a wide range of LTE bands so it's generally not a problem as long as the iPhone is unlocked, which in this case it is as you are using it on AT&T.

It is the A1687 - iPhone 6S Plus
Thanks!

I discovered that I cannot select the camera sound when I take a picture. Research says its because of some law in Japan to prevent people from taking sneak pictures. Which makes sense...I guess I will find out if it comes back to bit me later. :)

Yes. Too many sickos in Japan snapping inappropriate pics at inappropriate times so they made it so the shutter sound cannot be turned off even on mute.

hi

i have lost track if this is still true or not: if you buy apple care + along with the actual iPhone itself in Japan, can you only get service for it within japan? or, are apple's iPhone service warranties now international and you can get service anywhere where there is authorized service?
