I just saw on the Best Buy website that they have reduced the price of the mid-2015 15.4" rMBP to $1709.99, a savings of $290.99. I have been considering this model for a future purchase. Is this a good price, one that would get you to purchase this now, or would you wait?

It's a good price, but here in a few months it'll be 2 generations behind. You have to answer for yourself whether you want to wait and spend more, or buy something more affordable now.

My guess is that the price may come down even more once the MBP's are updated, but you run the risk of them no longer being in stock.

Each of you brings up some valid points. I will probably wait until the new MBP's are announced before making a final decision.
