i currently have an iPhone 5s. I would like an iPhone 6 but I don't like monthly contracts and simply purchase the phones outright.

What is the best way or where is the best place to buy an iPhone 6 at a reduced price once the iPhone 6s is released?

Thanks!

Swappa.com is an excellent place to purchase phones. Find a seller with great reviews and look at the photos to justify the cost. Swappa checks the imei # before allowing the ad to be posted live.

I'm going to post a mint iPhone 6 16gb for AT&T in about a week if you're interested.

It depends on how long you plan to use it. Safest route is through the Apple store where you know the phone is clean, unlocked, and you can add Applecare if you like. 16 GB will barely get you by even if you stream most of your media.

There will be MANY iPhone 6 and 6+ for sale as we approach fall. Just beware of trying to buy at the lowest price.

I would be find with trading mine in for $200 at Apple and getting an Iphone 6 for $500 after they release the 6s so that my net cost is only $300. Is that realistic?

If your 5S is in good shape you should have no problem with doing the deal with Apple. You could get more if you sold it yourself but sometimes the hassle is just not worth it. I am also not so sure about what Apple will be selling the 6 for but they will discount it some for sure.

I hope it all works out for you.

If you want a brand new 6, look on Swappa or Apple's web site once the 6s is announced. I believe the day that Apple has a Keynote about the new iPhone model, the prior generations get a price reduction.

Swappa is generally a really good place to buy a 6 and subsequently sell your 5s.

The 5S is still a very valid model and should hold value a little better than normal.
Remember, this was the last 4 inch iPhone. Many think it's the perfect size and don't want to
go big. Just a thought.
