Can it be done? Despite signing up for UK account, iTunes requires me to have a UK registered credit card.
Is it possible to buy a gift code from my other account and sending it to myself to proceed with purchase,
or will iTunes still require me to have a UK registered credit card? Then the gift code will just be wasted.

potatis,

I don't know about your case but from my experience I couldn't. This was 5 years ago, I had an Itunes account that I set up in the US. I then moved to Japan and it wouldn't let me buy anything from the US iTunes Store as my location was Japan and it would tell me to us the Japanese iTunes. In the end, I had to have two accounts, one for the US and one for Japan. It sucked and I wished that there was some way to use only one account everywhere but I can imagine that it would cause all kinds of problems with laws and lawyers. I don't know if that is the same for your case or not.

Did you use your US credit card in Japan or get one there? The problem here is that while I can register a UK account on iTunes, I don't have a UK registered credit card and therefor can't purchase. Really frustrating.

potatis,

I tried using an Apple gift card that I bought at a konbini (convenience store) in Japan. That might be why I couldn't use the US iTunes store. Let me know if you get it to work.

Best of Luck,
Mecha
