H Hellocincy2003 macrumors newbie May 23, 2009 #5 Really? So when I get the new iPhone this summer I'll need to unlock my iPhone each time or jailbreak it? Can't Apple or AT&T take care of this at one time? I ask because I've been using my iPhone hooked up to my tv & home theater system. If I can just keep that there it world be great.

maflynn macrumors Broadwell May 23, 2009 #6 Perhaps i'm not understanding this thread but it is possible to use the iPhone on wifi only without jailbreaking the unit. Put the phone in airplane mode, then turn on wifi - seems much easier then needing to jailbreak it.

Now do I have to repurchase the apps for the new iPhone?
