Anyone else have a faint purple line on the SE when viewing the flashlight screen?

I’d almost have to see what it looks like. But you shouldn’t be seeing any other vertical lines of color on the Apple Watch. There was issues about a year ago with ‘green vertical lines’, but I’ve not heard of a purple vertical line. Either way, not normal if it’s easily detectable for an OLED display.

Thanks for the response.

Yeah, it's green or purple depending on how you look at it (like the gold/white or or blue/gold dress from a few years ago).

It's very faint and only shows up if I turn the flashlight on (but when it goes full brightness it disappears). There's a thread of it from a year ago or so regarding the Apple Watch 4 having it. A bunch of people mentioned that they had it, and posted pictures.

I learned my lesson once with iPhone return roulette (where one problem fixes but another one was introduced with the replacement phone), and am hesitant to return the watch for a replacement where another problem might pop up.

I just wanted to see if any other SE owners had the problem, to see if I should try replacing.

I really do hate that I can't trust Apple to deliver a product without issues, but with millions of products there's bound to be problems: nothings 100% perfect.

If there's a few SE owners that say they have the problem, then I won't bother returning because there's a chance I'll just get the same problem screen again.

It's hard having some OCD tendencies :(

Here's that thread I was talking about on the S4.

I had that happen a couple of years back. Got to my car and opened it up to let it set up on the drive home and there was a solid line over a black screen. Walked it right back inside and left with a new in box replacement.

I wouldn’t settle if I were you.

Well that was "fun", taking a bunch of pictures looking for a problem 😂

so the line is just to the right of the center, and shows only on the flashlight white screen. Good luck seeing it. As I said it's very faint. And interestingly it doesn't show on the grey or white watch face. 🤷‍♂️
Also on the blue watch face it's got that "vertical banding" slightly that I've seen on other iPhone 5's I've had in the past (some much worse than others). Picture didn't show it though.

okay I think after this exercise though I'm just going to ignore it. It's so minor. If it gets worse than I should have grounds for a warranty replacement within a year.

I have it too on my SE, in the exact same place on the screen, as faint as yours. I hadn't actually noticed it until reading this thread. As long as it's not just my watch it doesn't bother me I guess, lol. I'm only able to see it on the flashlight screen before the brightness goes up.
