THE CAMERA MUST FIT IN THE PHONE. They can't pull a iPod touch.
But.... what if the lens protrusion could be a "guide" for a magnetically attachable/swappable lens?

Is the 5.5 their Phablet model cause if that is replacing the 5S, I am thinking this si too BIG!
I want larger but not crazy large!

I don't think they will sacrifice battery, they will have learned that from the competitors such as the Samsung Galaxy S4. Tim Cook was asked about big screen phones and he said they were not interested in big screens while major trade offs existed, he gave examples such as battery life and one handed use.
Personally I think Apple have been working on a big screen for many years, and have found how to do it without making trade offs, Apple are known for this, that's why they are not usually the first to release a device, such as the tablet, phone and more recent smart watches. That's why they make the best devices and that's why I support them![]()
Looks like it will bend quite easily in a pocket.
yes, just as I found an iPad Air in an electronics store on display with a visible bent.
Apple devices are getting dangerously thin and delicate. And I have a friend who managed to break two older iPhone displays by sitting on them accidentally (they were in his jeans' back pocket). I often carry my iPhone in my front pocket, but that will become too dangerous too I guess.
Larger size + thinner = much more easily breakable. That's just physics.
This is a new leaked mock-up believed to be the 4.7" version https://www.macrumors.com/2014/04/30/iphone-6-high-quality-physical-mockup/
I don't get people like you.I hope not as it looks even longer than the 5/5s. I want a normal aspect ratio screen. I am betting the 6 will be that wider iPhone and not just longer.
I don't get people like you.
The current aspect ratio is 16:9. Every phone has this aspect ratio. 16:9 is normal. Apple will not return to 3:2.
The iPhone 6 won't be wider or longer (vague words), it will be the exact same aspect ratio as the iPhone 5, which is 16:9.
Maybe that's the reason why they are rumoured to be using Saphire. I've had every iPhone (except the 5 ) since the 3GS and I have to say that i don't find them delicate. In fact a couple of my friends have had to replace their Samsung Galaxy S3 and 4's because they broke.
I am not asking you to "get people like you", I could care less.
But as you KNOW what it will be, with out a doubt, we all need not wonder anymore.

While Saphire is great to prevent scratches it will shatter if bent. You can't have it both ways, you either get soft and malable like we have now or they go for hard and more brittle.
We will find out in September, but personally i think Apple knows all of this, they have never gone into something without doing their research, which is why they are the best when it comes to the products they do. I have confidence. My only hope is that they will do two versions, 4.7" and 5.5" i would at least like the choice, and for people who don't want the bigger screen, just reduce the price of the iPhone 5S![]()
I agree with your comments 100%. Apple will have done their homework and are doing the best they can to keep the most users happy. There will always be people who they can not make happy.
Like the idea of two sizes so people have choice. Mostly care about the product's build quality and want something with a little larger screen and it be very durable. Can't see a Saphire screen, the cost would be way to high.
I also hope they update the 5S for people who want no bigger.
Thank you, and exactly the point, I think that people are scared of change and with a big screen iPhone's it will be a big change. Apple has been doing its homework on big screens for a while, Tim Cook himself even said that they have looked into big screens, but didn't like the fact that there were so many trade offs (battery life, screen quality) and I think they have been working to eliminate those trade offs. We will have to wait and see in September or maybe if we are surprised at WWDC.
I can remember what iPhone 4 users said when the rumors about the larger iPhone 5 were going around. They were crying and swearing they would nver buy another iPhone if they made it bigger than the iPhone 4!
I think the 6 will be a great phone!
