Recently (last two weeks) I've been having trouble receiving push email on my iphone 4s. I normally use yahoo but tried using gmail and even that wouldn't push to my phone. As well, when I set the phone to fetch my emails it doesn't load any new emails until I open the mail app.

I've tried deleted and readding the email accounts in addition to restarting the iphone, but it still doesn't make a difference if I'm on wifi or 3g.

Any insight?

Thanks!

...open a Gmail acct... have yahoo fwd to gmail, gmail to phone.

Also, doesn't yahoo have a dedicated mail app for iPhone? The same thing happened to parents android phone (yahoo stopped pushing email to it) so my workaround was to DL the direct yahoo mail app on the phone and show how to use that instead of letting the android mail inteface do it.

I just got a 4S on monday thats when it stopped working. My 4 has no problem getting yahoo mail

this is really annoying and inexcusable

I have a 4 and mine stopped about 2 weeks a go as well. Short of the Gmail forwarding option some bright spark on this forum must have the answer.

For the record I've had the 4 since it came out and never had this issue before.

Yahoo ticket number

This very annoying, and lost lasting problem Is known to Yahoo...and apparently their engineers "are working on it". Since at least the 18th!!! The ticket number (thanks, Glenn) is 5085840. I have ca:mad:lled yahoo since then, and an actual person told me they are working on it...no idea how long it will take. Sons have iphone4 as well but did not "upgrade" to OS5 and their mail works fine. Sounds like a combined problem...yahoo And Apple. Of course Apple will never admit that.
