Wouldn't it be a good thing if Apple could introduce more iPhone/iPad apps to the next generation OS ? It would be great if i could use on my Macs "Find My Friends", "Newsstand", "Stocks", "Find my Phone" and "Find my Ipad" (without having to connect to iCloud.com via a web browser), "Apple Store" (not App Store) ... just like iMessage or FaceTime ...

    I agree.

You can use Find My Friends on Yosemite though. It's built into messages. Just go to one of find my friends imessage window in iMessage, and hit details and the map comes up :)

it's not the best solution but it works :).

That might be the next phase in the progression of OS X and iOS
