Push not working

I have always had push on and i am just now finally realizing the annoyingness of this. I have always had push on but my messages never get pushed to my phone. I have to open my mail tab and then wait for it to find my messages. Why is this.

Does anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?

What are your fetch settings? I have fetch set to hourly and push off and I always get my mail.

I can set it to be more often but why is push not working? It should?

Push has been flakey with a number of apps, so IDK. What's your mail program? I only used push at first with AP Mobile to test it, but haven't been using it, since it wastes battery.
