I don't seem to have the push notification bit in my settings.

I got 3.0 earlier today and MMS and other 3.0 stuff is working.

When i click on settings it just has Airplane made, Wi-Fi and Carrier like it used to no push notifications.

is there something I'm missing, has anyone else had this issue and how was it fixed?

I have a iPhone 3G, have tried wiping it all and doing a restore as new phone and it's still not there, anyone have any ideas?

thanks

Hmmmm

Have you installed any apps that has Push Notifications like AP News? Those apps activate the "Notification" field on your settings app

Do you know other apps that have Push Notifications implemented already?

Just got AP mobile which says it does push, opened the app and then checked settings again and still nothing.

I'm in the UK so can't get all the same apps as US

textfree lite has it.

notifications in settings only gets activated when you have an app capable of it.

I downloaded the current version of AP mobile, and when I opened the app it asked me if I wanted to enable "Notifications". If you answer "yes" and then check your settings, you should see a "Notifications" setting under Wi-Fi.

that's odd... yeah, maybe your loaction matter too, but i never received any push notifications yet, even though I have the 'notifications' option on settings... I'm using an iPod touch by the way

it didn't ask me about notifications, tried deleting and reinstallig but still no notification questions and it's not showing in settings.

For AP Mobile, just change your region (Settings-AP Mobile) to USA-English and the next time you open the app, you'll get the notifications pop-up. If you go back in and change it to your actual region, it will then disable notifications.

I guess it's just another bug they'll have to fix.

Thanks guys for the info!
