Push - constantly checking for new emails - instant
    Fetch - you determine how often it checks - 15 mins / 30 mins / 1 hr / manual - not instant

Push takes more battery life / data

I'm on the new 5 and had email set to push, I wouldn't get email until hours after, the moment I set it to fetch, three email went through that were over an hour late. Any thoughts?
