I favor setting up hot corners. I just hold "Ctrl" and drag the mouse to the assigned hot corner. Less thought involved. (for me) Which, is a good thing.

Well you didn't know about this either.
Anyways, great find. I always use the hot corner to turn off the display however it doesn't require me to hold down control. Just roll the mouse to the corner which is still easier than Cntrl Shift Eject.
I just added Control to it, because once in a great while I'd hit that corner by mistake. (usually when resizing windows or jumping from screen 1 - screen 2)
i have set up the expose option so that when i move my cursor to the bottom left side of the screen the macs display is turned off. after some innactivity it then goes to sleep.
