So should you let your hard disk run constant or have it go to sleep in energy saver preference?

Wouldn't starting up all the time and going to sleep all the time be harder on the drive?

Well having the hard disks go to sleep kinda takes a hit on your performance, the hard drive is constantly waking up and sleeping whenever it is idle.

I always have that unchecked.
