Putting 2 GBs of memory into MacBook.

I have 512 right now, if I put 2 GB in will it make my MacBook boot up faster as well as just work smoother?

Yes, it'll probably boot a little faster, but the difference in day-to-day usage will be VERY significant. Do it - you won't regret it!

Have a wee read at this post for some more advice on memory.

If you're going up to 2GB then you'll need to get 2x1GB sticks since you've only got two slots. Can probably sell the 512MB somewhere.
