HomePod Putting HomePod on the floor

Is there any reason not to put my HomePod on the floor? I don't have much shelf space available and want it to be kind of hidden and out of the way. It's a hardwood floor. Does anyone else do this?

There is no reason you can’t put it on the floor outside of it possibly not providing the best sound due to location.

Have you considered an outlet shelf? It might be better than putting it directly on the floor. I have my HomePod mini on an outlet shelve and it conceals the power cable for a really clean look. They can support the weight of a full size HomePod, as well.

@Jacobi Sounds like you already have a HomePod.......so, just give it a shot and if it works for you then leave it there, if it sounds a bit wrong due to being on the floor then move it back to where you already have it.

Post back your findings as I'm sure there might be others that don't have one yet that might also want to place it on the floor that have the same question.
