So I Have Two old iPhone 2Gs after My Family Upgraded To The iPhone 4 And I Want To Convert One Of Them Into An iPod Touch So I Can Continue Using All The Apps That I Have Payed Out The Bum For, As Well As Find More Apps.

If Anyone knows about this or how to do it, PLEASE Let me Know!!

Thanks!

Well, you're already doing it. The iPhone without a sim card or cell service is basically just an iPod touch with a camera. There is no firmware hacking needed, unless you want to jailbreak. Just restore your iPhone from the iPod 2G backup. Rightclick on the iPhone in iTunes, and hit restore from backup.

Dear lord that's a lot of unnecessary capitalization! :)

put the AT&T sim in it if its at lock screen to get into the OS. Once you are done with that, just don't turn the phone on and it's an I touch - You can't take the iPod Touch OS and put it on an iPhone - plus there is no need.

There is a need because when developers write their applications to be compatable with the new iOS release, I can't use it for Jack... I have a husk of bits that display colors then.

whatever - good luck. I tried installing OS X on a Commodore 64.

buy a 3GS, seriously the speed difference is AMAZING between iphone 3G and 3GS, so i can only assume its even more amazing between iphone 2G... and you get full iOS 4 with multitasking.

The guy already has an iPhone 4! He just wants to find a way to put iOS4 on his old 2Gs so he can run iOS4-only apps on them, too. There's no way to do that, of course.
